Opportunity Expert to Host Reinvent Yourself Workshop to Help People Help Themselves

(January 10, 2010, Irvine, CA) In the midst of the worst recession since the 1930's, unemployment and employment dissatisfaction have reached record highs.    More than ever, people are looking for positive change, confidence and opportunity.   Author and Opportunity Expert, Glenn Llopis will be hosting a full-day workshop that will focus on teaching empowerment and sustainability skills to help people help themselves.  "Without strategy, change is merely substitution, not evolution, says Llopis.  Though we are an educated society, people have not been taught how to create a strategy for change that allows one evolve, grow and prosper.  People have not been given the tools to reinvent themselves."
 

The son of Cuban immigrants that lost everything and were forced to start over after Castro's Revolution,  Llopis was taught a very young age the value and importance of approaching his life and career knowing that there were never any guarantees, but yet a lot of opportunities for advancement.   According to Llopis, "the wisdom of my parents, the insights from my mentors and my own experiences as both a corporate executive and entrepreneur have taught me how to best see and seize the opportunities for my advancement.  Now I want to teach other people how to do the same so they can avoid misfortune and achieve their goals."
 

Llopis points out that while people are hurting, they seek guidance and direction they can trust.   People are still becoming familiar with the concept of reinvention because it denotes change.  The good news is that more credible resources are starting to talk about the need to reinvent - thus making people more comfortable about taking action.  In recent months, both O Magazine (November, 2009) and the Harvard Business Review (January / February, 2010)  have spotlighted the need for personal and organizational reinvention.   "Reinvention is a call for empowerment and people must view it as a tremendous opportunity for personal and professional advancement," says Llopis.
